| The United Hill People's Development Society, Manipur is an Organisation of non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit making and non-governmental, managed by a group of eminent trained social workers to take up various activities for the welfare of the most disadvantage peoples, particularly CS/ST in the state of Manipur. The organisation is registered under Manipur Societies Registration ACT, 1989,(Manipur ACT No. 1 of 1990 Government of Manipur bearing Registered number 201 of 1990, Registered under All Manipur Social Welfare NGO Forum and All Manipur NGO Forum Since inception working in the field of health and sanitation, Aged welfare Child welfare, Environment issues and other development activities in rural remote area in the State of Manipur. It has conducted an extensive based-line survey assessing the actual needs and problems of the peoples of the areas with the local public at grass root level participation and attempted to implement various need-base programs accordingly with the ultimately aim it bring self-reliance among the target groups.
* To raise the living condition of the backward peoples into a brighter way of life,mainly women,Children, Orphan and Aged persons etc. * To give social education to the citizens/peoples specially drug rehabilitation centre. * To To make up social seminars conference, workshop, training etc. * To make up social economic activities like village industries, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry, Fishery etc. * To make up environment education, protection and control of eco-system. * To give irrigation facilities, drinking water facilities, flood control among the tribal farmers/peoples. * To open regular classes school imparting adult literacy non-formal education, handicap school among the scheduled caste and scheduled tribes * To take up khadi & village industries activities from any donor Instituion, State Govt, Local bodies and other International agencies. * To raise funds by receiving donations, subscription, Grant-in-aid from any donor, Institution, State Govt., Local bodies and other International agencies. |
